Honorary Consul Frank Nosek presented our non-profit Czech-Alaska Society Charter on March 12, 2006, at the Anchorage Museum of History and Arts with a Czech celebration honoring our heritage.  Vladimír Zavázal, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs based in Prague, Czech Republic and Mrs. Margita Fuchsova, Consul General of the Czech Republic in Los Angeles, California, were our distinguished guests. Czech food and music were enjoyed, and the establishment of the Czech-Alaska Society was the highlight of the evening.

The purpose of our Society is civic and fraternal, namely:

a) to create an opportunity for communication regarding Czech heritage, language, arts and customs, both within and outside of Alaska,

b) to promote understanding, exchange knowledge, social and cultural activities and relationships among Alaskans, and for Czech Alaskans and for the citizens of the Czech Republic and others interested in the Czech Republic.
